Montréal, November 29, 2022 – Everyone at BNP Philanthropic Performance is pleased to welcome new Philanthropy Consultant Glenn Massad, whose varied expertise will benefit organizations in the Atlantic Region and allow the firm to expand its presence there.
An eclectic expertise for Glenn Massad
After completing a BA at Concordia University in Montréal in 1987 and an LLB at Université Laval in Quebec City in 1991, Glenn began his career in Los Angeles as a talent manager with Dattner and Associates from 1994 until 1998, and then with the Creative Management Agency from 1998 until 2002. Passionate about writing and storytelling, Glenn decided to set up his own communications consulting firm, GM Communications, in 2002. This move launched Glenn’s career in communications as he continued to hone his skills, not only as a creative thinker, writer and media strategist, but also as a business representative and media trainer. His responsibilities included using strategic marketing techniques and effective brand management to maintain positive investor and stakeholder relations for his client businesses and organizations. At the same time Glenn expanded his knowledge of business development, as Vice‑President of Investor Relations and Director of Communications for Blue Note Mining in Montréal from 2005 to 2010, and as an Account Executive in the field of national mining practice for Edelman Public Relations for two years. Most recently, Glenn was Director of Communications for the Habilitas Foundation from 2012 to 2021 and, as a member of the communications team, was responsible for brand and marketing strategy at Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School (ECS) from October 2021 until June 2022.
A significant experience in communications
Glen’s latest positions have developed his talents in internal and external communications, business development, media and investor relations, as well as team, risk and crisis management. His work has given him opportunities to inspire and sustain community support for worthwhile causes, by producing films and other marketing materials that tell the stories of vulnerable individuals. Glenn has always wanted his life and work to have positive repercussions in society; this philanthropic mindset was what led him to work for a community foundation. Today, Glenn is putting all the skills he has gained in the course of a long and varied career at the service of philanthropy.
At BNP Philanthropic Performance, Glenn will share the knowledge, expertise and understanding he has gained in fields he knows and loves with organizations in the Atlantic Region. Working alongside his new colleagues, he will develop his capacities as a philanthropy consultant. Glenn’s many talents, creativity, interpersonal skills and passion for the charitable sector make him a great asset to the firm. His first project will be a major fundraising campaign for the Banook Canoe Club.
As Christian Bolduc, CEO of BNP Philanthropic Performance, puts it, “Today we welcome Glenn as the latest resource person to join our team of philanthropic consultants at BNP. With his varied and extensive experience in both communications and business development, Glenn will help us maintain and expand our development across Canada by supporting the efforts of organizations in the Atlantic Region to meet their philanthropic and organizational needs.”
